Michael Jon MacDonald, founder and president of Michael MacDonald Financial Management, Inc., has been an independent financial advisor since 1984. As an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), he has met the educational, competence, conduct and ethical standards to carry out a fiduciary standard of care and serve the best interests of his clients. A graduate of St. Mary’s College of California, his practice is focused on advising Registered Nurses on retirement planning, as well as those in transition due to the loss of a loved one, and Social Security planning.

A father of four daughters with five grandchildren, Michael has been married to his wife, Carol, for over four decades. An Elder at Community Presbyterian Church in Danville, Cal, Mike has taught a weekly class in personal financial management at the Bay Area Rescue Mission since 2010.
