Inflation Rate Doubled In Past Two Months

The rate of inflation federal policy is pegged against more than doubled in the last two months, according to data released this morning by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.  It’s prudent to expect the months ahead to be a nail-biting period for financial decision-making. The 12-month rate of inflation, as measured by the Personal Consumption Expenditure Deflator (PCED) – excluding food and energy prices, surged from 1.4% in the 12 months ended February 28 to 3.1% in the 12 months ended April 30.
